The Discovery Through Art Program
Designed for fifth-grade students, Discovery Through Art: Elementary School
combines explorations of art with discussion and workshops over the course of three museum visits.
Students create original works of art based on their observations of objects from many cultures. Art teachers at the Glassell Junior School of Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
help students explore the range and potential of a variety of art-making histories and materials.
